Lootdrop

OVERVIEW

Lootdrop is a core feature within the Summon product for the Game7 ecosystem. It's a unique way to do time-limited quests every week, with a massive prize pool at the end of the week, achieved through the creation of Lootdrop Boxes. These lootdrop boxes contain different rarity structures of reward tiers that users will compete to earn through a multiplier that grows with them as they complete quests each week on the platform. We have seen massive growth since launching this feature over the last few months, gaining tens of thousands of players. We have teamed up with partners such as Mantle, Arbitrum, zkSync, and many more to give away millions of dollars in rewards.

I played the role of Design Lead through this entire ongoing project where I've led teams of product designers, 3D artists, Graphic Designers, Animators, Engineers and more alongside of the Game7 product team. We are constantly iterating, building out questing structures, and reward mechanics to push players to engage on a consistent and daily rhythm. We are monitoring the growth and active users through a variety of analytics and metrics that is helping Game7 see massive success.

I've worked alongside multiple product designers in creating the user flow from start to finish, onboarding users into this complex system to make it feel approachable and easy to digest as they play through each weeks quests. I've built out the roadmap for all design including 3D, product, and visual that ensures it to feel like it's own brand, and seamlessly integrate into the rest of the Game7 products. I've went through multiple design reviews with our 3D and product team on animating and building a immersive experience for our reward mechanics, and have developed a robust product worthy to stand on its own.

OUTCOME

We have seen massive success over the last few weeks of launching this feature within the Summon product, and have onboarded over 30K users just within the first 2 weeks of launch. We have given away millions of dollars in rewards through partnerships, and built exclusive wearables for the soul bound avatars that the users are customizing growing as they progress through the product.
