OVERVIEW

Working on Libertas Omnibus was an extraordinary experience. The NFT division of zkSync approached Summon with a challenging brief: to create an extensive gamification platform addressing several key objectives. Their goals were ambitious – to foster deeper engagement within the community, distinguish authentic human interactions from automated 'sybil' bots, highlight the extensive partnerships within their network, and emphasize sustainable, long-term metrics over fleeting, short-term engagement boosts.

In developing the Summon gamification platform, our scope vastly expanded beyond just the platform itself. We crafted a multifaceted campaign that included 3D Soul Bound avatars, a collection of hundreds of tradable traits, and a rich backstory for the brand's mascot. The project also encompassed multiple videos, a comprehensive merchandise shop, and collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists. That was the creative team's contribution. Meanwhile, the engineering team tackled the development of queuing systems, on-chain toolkits, and more. My role evolved into leading a team of 3D artists, animators, and graphic designers, ensuring the production of numerous deliverables aligned with the overarching lore, brand guidelines, and Key Performance Results (KPRs) set by the zkSync team.

OUTCOME

With a tight four-month timeline, we established a structured schedule featuring well-defined checkpoints and deliverables. This approach enabled us not only to meet the basic requirements but also to significantly exceed expectations. We nearly doubled the number of tradable assets, added layers of complexity to the lore, developed a comprehensive countdown landing page, and created a fully-fledged merchandise store. This store was equipped with print-on-demand features and seamlessly integrated directly into the platform.
